IMO, the market drop is a headfake. It was brought about because Lucent had a "sales warning" - wasn't sure if it could meet its quarter goals. Lucent is a dinosuar - been out of the "leading indicator" position for at least 5 years.
Headfake, I'd say - looking to get some cheaper shares before next quarter begins.
