Don't know the time frame of the Oil India JV.
The web site shows April 06 when they put an office in India and they and Oil India had a JV announced with Oil India
concerning the below Udmurtneft property. They did not get it but that was long before the JV announcement we see in the latest PR's.

The company applied to TNK-BP for participation in tender for purchase OJSC «Udmurtneft». Udmurtneft - Udmurtneft is TNK-BP’s key oil producing enterprise in the Udmurtia Republic. It is the leading producer in Udmurtia’s fuel and energy complex, accounting for 60% of the region’s total oil volume. Annual production volume totals some 6 million tons.




So they seem to have been working with them for some time.
IMHO I believe that the present PR JV announcement is seperate from these two aquistions and will still happen.

Hey it appears the President likes aquisitions and JV's.
