Mauser96, What has surprised me is how low the barrier of entry is in this plastic 3D business...

There does seem to be decent demand amoung small business for these units, I see businesses now advertising custom this and custom that...

But you also see a long list of competitors out there as well as all kind of DIY designs to build one from scratch...

There was just not a high enough barrier to entry for SSYS and DDD to be successful longterm in the consumer segment...

These two are wounded animals now... you can bet they are looking for a M&A solution to their problems...
