No, large players loading or unloading usually result in variation of the stock price, not a constant value. I think investors are just confused right now. Intel is being upgraded, and some analysts think they will be at the high end of estimates, but what this means for AMD is undecided. Did AMD's sales rise along with Intel's, or did Intel simply take a lot of market share this quarter? Hard to tell, and I think investors are bracing for the earnings conference.

I suspect the narrow trading range $7 to $7.2 is related to arbitrage with the converible bonds.
