??? look at the inco/falconbridge/dodge phelps deal. that has been in the news forever, media attention since the first OFFER. Pr's came out announcing the OFFERS from all those companies, Teck Cominco, Xstrata... ALL of them anouncing buy out offers and cash and stock takeover deals.
They didn't just do it all in the dark and then make big announcements.
