Yes, I saw that. I hope he won't rely too much on Mark Faulk for "information". I don't think Faulk's gonna get the story right.
Urbie actually is a fascinating character. No education, no hands-on experience with much of anything. Yet he made and lost a fortune on the scam he ran before CMKX. Now he's made another, which I imagine he hopes to keep. What's really extraordinary is how he managed to persuade thousands of "investors" that he cared about them, was practically their best friend, the guy who wanted to "create a million millionaires".
Not long ago, one investor explained that when he attended one of the drag races, there was Urbie "standing alone like a God". I was blown away. Urbie is 49, looks at least ten years older, has a potbelly, and wears a polyester flame shirt.
A GOD?? This guy must have some serious charisma where some people are concerned. The folks I know who've met him were not impressed, however.
