Which Mogambo reference to "lease rates" are you seeing as strange? If it's the one I bolded for emphasis at the end of his tome which is excerpted below:

A glance at the extreme right side of the chart you provided (above) shows the lease rate "collapse" he refers to.

Now I don't pretend to speak for the great one, but fwiw, that comment could very well mean that the Omnisciently Regarded Great and All Seeing Mogambo (ORGASM) has opined that the 'riggers' have now leased a sufficient amount of bullion with which to pound the spot market.... hence the collaspe of the lease rates!

Then again it could mean absolutely nothing at all!
