I'm sure some know more than others . Some probably know more than most doctors... obviously there are probably a few that recommend kush for everything cause that's all they have in stock...Just as laughable as lcbo employees?! Lol

I can't either! We r all probably goin to get rich if we invest in cannabis wisely...keep it up!

These boards are a much about doin DD as they are entertainment eh!

There have been some studies looking at this very issue. If you look at what people call a strain versus cannabinoid content measured by liquid chromatography and mass spec, you often found that names really have no relationship to cannabinoid content, and by extension the affect of the weed. Basically, it's more of a marketing ploy than an actual description of the affects you'll get. Even if you compare the age old sativa and indica type nomenclature, there is huge diversity between the cannabinoid profile. (can't find the publication - The Werc shop is looking at this in some detail and I think they presented the data well over a year ago at a talk)

So I agree with you Escobar - it's a crap shoot at the moment and unless you actually know what compounds are in purple kush, it's just a name.

I think that because this industry has been so underground and without scientific rigor, a lot of myths have been stated as fact.

The same is true if you start comparing the genomes of plants - (http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0133292)
