Yes that $100K / Kg number is years old.
Yes I would expect that some one of the several Goo companies hasdone better than that by now.
But to the best of my knowledge No One Has Published a better number!
Therefore I can not fault Kim or Jon for quoting the one published number out there.
Certainly it would not be appropriate for KBLB's spokesmen to make forward looking estimates about a competitors cost of production.

I understand that that number ($100K/Kg) is unpalatable to many because it is so absurdly High.
But the bottom line is that it is the one number ever given.

Presumably if any of the goo producers had a MUCH better number, like perhaps $1000 / Kg, they would not hesitate to publicize it.

Therefore I can only assume that while costs have come down somewhat, they are still Too embarrassingly high to mention.
No one of those companies wants to be the one to proclaim that they have succeeded in lowering their costs to ONLY $35,000 per Kg.

The last estimates I saw, were in excess of one hundred thousand dollars per kilogram.

Now undoubtedly progress has been made to reduce those costs and most companies will continue to make, I hope, rapid progress in reducing the costs.
