"In Colombian courts, SSA won a lawsuit claiming the new law was unconstitutional, and the Circuit Court of Barranquilla ruled the treasures of the San Jose should be split 50-50 between the government and SSA, the firm said.

The Supreme Court of Colombia upheld that even split, according to SSA's lawsuit filed in the United States."

But Columbia still insists on the unconstitutional law, which give SSA a 5% "finders fee"......then TAXES that fee at a rate of 45%

The only positive is that Columbia told UNESCO to screw off, not signing on to their extortion pledge. But I'm sure Spain will try to get in on this somehow.

Treasure is trouble and more treasure is just more trouble.
Who said that? Now that Columbia has spent nearly 30 years screwing this company in the courts, won't it be funny if after the treasure is finally recovered, Spain sues and takes it all away? Crooks and lawyers...
