no it isn't but I see no reason to doubt what Cola said. GE has been very tight lipped since they stated expansions in Auburn for mass production of fuel nozzles. I might also add that was about the same period when SGLB announced commercialization of INSPECT and GE stopped saying they needed a system in place to monitor in process builds.. Z

Alan,

here is a document offered by GE.

http://www.fda.gov/downloads/MedicalDevices/NewsEvents/WorkshopsConferences/UCM418401.pdf

Metadata indicates that it is about 14 months old, but that is more recent than 30 months for the document that jpi referenced. Please note on page 5 GE labels Sigma Labs as a "STRATEGIC PARTNER" I know that this is not a word for word overt statement that GE will use PR3D, nor does it repeat what had been said before about the 25% time reduction in inspection processes but if you go to the tail end of the document, you will see that it talks about the qualification issues. While I anticipate that you would say that this is just more "dot connecting", I will respond with the idea that these dots are very close together. There certainly are other "dots" that I believe are relevant and which help to place these two dots in context, but I would anticipate again that regardless of the dots or their proximity or their consistency over the past three or four years, you will maintain your position of caution that without a formal announcement the dots are mere speculation. I draw my conclusions and you decide to wait for more explicit confirmation.

Ultimately, either the dots will be connected and announced by Sigma or GE or they will not.

patience and GLTA

The quote from Morris at GE in the previous post is over 2 1/2 years old

It certainly is, and during that time Mark Cola has consistently confirmed their continued work. It was a direct quote from GE that you were seeking and there it is in black and white directly from their website. A new manufacturing technology for critical parts takes time. PrintRite3D can very well become certified by GE and then the FAA as an approved manufacturing and inspection technology after their years of work together and I for one am looking forward to that day.
