I agree with you very much so. As a shareholder and taxpayer I find it atrocious that an elected official would make statements to financially harm me and millions of other U.S citizens and several hundred U.S.companies. The demise of the GSE's has a longer reach then most people think about, Ie pension funds, mortgage companies, real estate companies, appraisal companies, homebuilders, inspectors, building supply companies etc,etc, This is as close to being a traitor as you can get!

There's something going on with the GSE's that isn't public knowledge beyond the court cases. There's MM manipulation and HFT which may or may not be occuring at any given time. This looks like short covering. Lately the volume was nill, then this week we saw a bump. I think this is all of the above. MM's manipulating to allow short covering ahead of news or event and HFT playing the volume algorithmicly. Hold tight
