I can't remember in my short experience playing TVIX, of such a discrepancy between the market (S&P down 7+) the spot VIX (up 7%+) and VIX futures (DEC contract down 0.84%)

what do futures traders know that the spot volatility doesn't? ECB decision this Thursday?
