It's the motivations that appeal to me about stocks. My portfolio is all boring dividend paying blue chips... like Rockwell Automation. It pays 2%, grows nicely over decades... and makes me rich(er). ROK gave birth to SWKS which is about as exciting as my stocks get. But I barely watch my own stocks... or bonds or bank accounts or index funds. Fun when they soar, but that rarely happens with my things. And I find fun in many other things too.
Much more, I wonder about "players" who are drawn to pennies when they understand that they're junk... worse, they're poison for some.
