Not necessarily, if you buy the same amount of shares it'll not only cost you 1/3 of the original price but average down substantially. All depends on how long you are.
No one really buys at the bottom. Its all about splitting up your orders and buying extra hard when the dip seems unnatural. I've bought 7s to 6s and can buy more if we keep going down which may be the case.
