Sounds to me pharmacy association is worried their bottom line might be effected by legal marijuana. Less opiate sales will surely hurt their numbers I can see why they have a concern. Let's bring in the marijuanna association and see what their take on the direction should be.
"CPhA is concerned about the health effects of marijuana and cautions the government to act first with the health of Canadians in mind. In addition, the pharmacy community is increasingly concerned about patient safety and clinical oversight regarding the use of medical marijuana. As such, CPhA is currently reviewing its existing policies to ensure its policy position regarding pharmacist dispensing of medical marijuana reflects patient safety in this evolving area."
I don't know much about this association but are these the same guys that have handed over life ruining opiates for the last decade or so? I'm happy that they're so concerned about marijuana.
I can't see why a pharmacy association would care which drug the population uses.
