The optics certainly do not look good. I am certain Google did not want to be dragged into this.

Not good for a US based company like Google to be associated with a Company that is 30% owned by China, designated as a security threat by US Congress, under a FBI Commerce Department probe for sales to Iran, under separate investigation US House of Representatives and now in violation of NDA breach. Google and ZTE, two companies cut from the same evil cloth. LOL
