It was good news but not great news. Think of it as getting an A on your homework assignment. Just because you got an A doesn't mean you'll get an A in the class, there's still more homework assignments and important tests/exams.
In essence, it wasn't bad news but good news, but just goes to show the PPS of .48 was seen as overbought by the market for where they are at with their research.
