He knows because JN said so last year and has mentioned the cell a number of times since then. It is as stated in every PR and filing. He has also stated that he has taken the cell to a number of manufactures and has not had any luck yet. I believe he also stated that he was going to hire someone to promote the cell.
I seriously doubt JN would lie about this and risk having the SEC or FBI investigating a successful company and loosing it all. Maybe if he can put enough money in the bank he might end up manufacturing it.
