All,

As a VRNG investor I have been through this for a long period of time. If this is your first patent play be ready for alot of swings, alot of trading opportunities and assume that it will take years for a settlement. I am not a basher and I have actually dipped my toe in here for fun, not alot of money but here are my thoughts take them as you wish or not.

1. There was a good article posted here or on the VRNG thread about how large companies are attacking "trolls" to invalidate patents and basically 'legalize' the theft of technology from smaller players. The trolls are the vehicle the small guys use to protect their inventions. So rather than come across as stealing, they demonize the protector of the patent as a 'troll' for obvious reasons. They use their wealth and political connections to drag out cases and force the little guy to wilt or lose. The advantage here vs vrng is clearly the lawyers are on contigency, which is a HUGE benefit. Harder to make the plaintiff wilt/give up since their costs are very low. VRNG has been burning our cash for years....so big advantage.

2. The ruling from the CAFC on VRNG's google patents (simply wiping them out as obvious, even after numerous USPTO reviews, district court ruling (Judge and Jury) is a risk here, so always keep that in mind if it goes to court and WDDD wins (ie its not over if appealed and you never know what will happen).

3. VRNG asked the Supreme Court to weigh in after the ridiculous ruling at the CAFC, had TEVA on their side (similar issue and it was overturned, the 7th amendment was broken - appelate courts overturning a jury ruling for no reason other than common sense, and the only knowledgable scientific judge (Chen) wrote a scathing dissent at the CAFC. BUT we didn't get heard.

So..I guess what I am saying is, a win, is not always a win, and trade accordingly.

I look forward to see what happens on the 10th, then of course if it gets past there, a year of attempts to have the USPTO invalidate the patents first.

Buckle in folks, if it does get past the 10th my suggestion is don't get mad at people saying trade the swings, because from my experience in VRNG its the best course.

Keep a core holding and trade around it.
