I have no problem with any group advocating for housing access for everyone, especially including minority borrowers. I really think President Obama's Fannie Mae position is favorable to this, as is my own.
What I dislike is the production of a video "whiteboard" that claims some conspiracy was formulated between President Bush, Secretary Paulson, big banking interests like Morgan-Stanley and other key players including Barney Frank and Ben Bernanke as either depicted in the video or whose voice is either reproduced or mimicked to mislead people into believing there was some huge, complicitant cabal to return minorities to the ghetto "where they belong" in some Arian scheme to re-segregate America's communities.
The video is a disgrace. The fact that much of its content was apparently the work of a child speaks for itself in terms of credibility measured against the collective wisdom of two sitting Presidents, 3 Treasury Secretaries, 3 Fed chairs (two of which supported the actions undertaken), 2 FHFA Conservators, several sitting Federal Judges and the Congress of the United States.
