The comics themselves, and I assume storyboards and the like. That sum sounds perfectly reasonable if they have planned giant sized comics with that publishing schedule. Then several issues must have been produced beforehand, ready to be published. Glasshouse graphics have very reasonable tariffs for their services, and they have been used by many publishers. But those publishers had brisk sales of said comics, making it worth it.
