I would say if you are so lazy to want to lay your phone down to charge it instead of plugging it in, then you would probably pay whatever (heck people pay $40 for a sequins on their case).

If I am a car salesman and my client wants to buy a vehicle with a built-in flicharge charging mat, I will pay the $40 for a charging case to close the deal.
