Warren and Sanders are taking issue with the Treasury's seeming double standard of helping TBTF banks and ignoring Puerto Rico's default problems. They, alternatively, could have used Fannie as another example where Treasury stepped in to find a solution, but that would be a harder sell since so many players on the plaintiff side claim the GSEs needed no bailout in the first place.
