You state that the following portions of the Act are problems:
'1)"to support domestic manufacturing, agriculture, housing, telecommunications, healthcare, and transportation infrastructure (HUH?); or
2 For the Nation’s economic security and balance of trade."'
Why is this a problem? If the USA has to import critical minerals, would this not make manufacturing, agriculture, etc., dependent on foreign imports for CRITICAL minerals...Providing a domestic source for critical minerals would indeed be supporting them...and they certainly need supporting! And what is wrong with legislative support for our nation's economic security?...and balance of trade? The trade imbalance needs all the help it can get...In this case, we are importing most of our critical minerals from foreign countries.
This Act needs to pass...as written.
