I'm guessing the only point was that the infrastructure was there, the work had already been done, and launching Dempsey meant that Intel could stop the server market share loss a month in advance of Woodcrest. Of course, originally, it was going to be a much larger delta, but since Dempsey got pushed out from its original Q1 date and Woodcrest got pulled in from its original Q3 date, the time in between shrunk.
