What led you to believe I was including you in my reference to the people suffering from massive cognitive dissonance? Not all are asleep but few are truly awake. In truth, we all are afflicted by it to some degree or another. The systems of this world continue to exist for the time being, despite being radically different than what they represent themselves to be. You and I invest, despite knowing that the markets are largely a sham, rigged by the biggest players to fleece retail in numerous ways. HFT is one such blatant violation that favors the biggest most connected elite. Being able to sniff out and act on trading bid/ask activity before anyone else is a crime plain and simple, but one that's been permitted for disingenuous reasons. Repealing glass-steagal was another affront to fair investing, allowing large financial institutions to gamble with your savings. The libor scandal, the HSBC money laundering scandal, the true culprits of the financial crisis, all go unpunished only proving definitively just how morally bankrupt our system of injustice has become. We must go about our business and live our lives despite these blatant violations and inequities, but we shouldn't remain silent nor accept this to be a new normal. The media may distort and confuse the stories beyond the reasonable comprehension of the average joe and lead him to abstain from talking intelligently about it or worse even caring. Independents which is larger than either established party. The fraud media and their "polls" won't admit it. There's a reason tv shows are called programming. With such a force manipulating public opinion, obscuring facts and presenting outright propaganda as news or real events, the people are easily deceived. Generations of progressively greater deceptions, lies, rewriting history and so on creates an environment where actual truth is not well received, and those who speak it are modern day heretics.
