Promoters, insiders etc try to drive and manipulate the price up, so they can sell at a profit, with "suckers" left holding expensive, worthless stock.

CBIS (and other penny scams) issue fake "news" and information, so that the promoters can republish that information in an attempt to attract new buyers who may not be aware of the scam.

Look at all the CBIS "news" over the years, none of which is true. Always hopeful future events that never take place.

Some promoters get paid in cash to promote penny scams. Others may get shares, so the higher the share price, the more profit they make when they dump those shares. CBIS has a variety of ways to keep the scam running, so that insiders and associates profit as long as possible.

Sicofbs and a few others have done a good job pointing out various parts of the CBIS scam.
