It's all very interesting how this is unfolding. Here in Canada we have legalized Industrial Hemp and are one of the largest cultivators and exporters. The legalization of Industrial Hemp has opened the door to looking at legalizing the rest of cannabis (marijuana). In the US Industrial Hemp is illegible to grow, however, they are starting to legalize Marijuana, which is opening the door to consider legalizing Industrial Hemp. Honestly I think both countries fear how legalizing all Cannabis will change the "labour markets". US needs to get over their fear of Industrial Hemp and Canada needs to legalize marijuana.

Here's a great Canadian documentary about the symbiotic connection between the two countries. The "economics of legalization" is what I think is driving the for and against legalization movements.
Enjoy, HBG

We like to think we have a free... market economy in which production decisions are made by consumers and businesses. However, as long as Marijuana is illegal the Governments can control that aspect of the market economy to some extent. My thoughts are more is involved than fear of the plant, it's about managing the economic backlash.

Either way CGC will do great. Your likely not far off in your points on how this will move forward after the election. ;-) HBG
