The IREP technology that Titan uses for SPORT is also designed for microsurgery capabilities. If SPORT can also offer a platform for Microsurgery all I can say is WOW!

Microsurgery is any surgery that requires a microscope or "better than your eyes" ability to see and do the work. My wife did a fellowship in microsurgery and is a plastic surgeon. She mostly used her skill on hands and nerve/vascular repair. Some have thought to use the robotic platform as a replacement for a microscope. If a platform has a digitally enhanced 3d screen then it is possible to envision using the robotic platform for a multitude of exterior "microsurgeries". The conference is for microsurgery and endoscopic though and thus their are many talks.

If you notice the last youtube video it shows them using the DaVinci on a hand type of surgery. Not endoscopically as we are used to seeing. Academic for now, but it may be an advantage to a surgery center that doesn't want to purchase a $5-600K+ microscope in addition to a robot. The better the optics the more this is possible. I think Titan will have what it takes.
