Sullivan already has a widely read blog and routinely comments on Fannie there. Why would he need a separate blog to comment on FNMA? Just for the record, I have no problem with any blog saying most anything that is either truthful or protected under First Amendment freedom of speech rights. What I do have a problem with is some Woodward&Bernstein-esque "Deep Throat" secret character being cited as imparting some certainty to a huge victory for longs owning stock in the GSEs.
If this guy was just an occasional reference, like Sullivan, it would be immaterial. But when one "source" becomes an internet legend referenced in a HUGE percentage of posts across multiple venues, something doesn't quite pass the smell test.
