Yes and no, if your checking account and investment account are with the same bank then you don't have to wait. If your checking account does have not the same bank as your investment account you wouldn't get the usual same day deposit, you would have to wait till the next day.
Reason I thought the (non processing day) was relevant was because It happened to and I wanted to buy more and those who saw the news Friday after close or over the weekend can't get funds to buy untill Tuesday. So I have a feeling volume will be plenty high tomorrow.
