because patent pending still protects, if roman decides not to pay geotraq right away then after the patent is approved geotraq would be able to collect all back royalties up to that date as well.
Another thing I have always wonder is why Sullivan recently submitted a patent application (last spring, I believe, if indeed he did) when he should have submitted at least a provisional patent application to stop any "infringing" that might happen. It is what some inventors do to be sure that it is their foot that is first in the patent door.
