Sounds like you need to manage your expectations.
I can tell you as somebody who closes acquisition deals, these things take time and can fall through. A lot of the commercial property deals my office processes takes about 2 months to a year to close.
Also and most importantly, a lot of times parties can't legally disclose that an acquisition is forthcoming until a certain point in the transaction.
He gave an update a few weeks ago, when there is news to share he will share it.
I dont know why thats hard to understand, oh that's right, you're in the red so its Joel's responsibility to make you whole again right?
