Dilleet: please spare us your righteous handwringing.

Please take some responsibility. It was YOU that voided the warranty, not Apple. It was YOU that decided you couldn't wait for an Apple fix. It was YOU that bent the motherboard (or card), It was YOU that used a pliers to do a finger job. And it is YOU that will now suffer the consequences, i.e., either waiting a good deal longer than 3 days to repair the thing, or paying a hefty amount of money to replace it, plus all the aggravation of migrating a system onto the new/repaired computer.

If you had dunked the whole computer into a vat of lubricant to remove the stuck card, would you expect Apple to "honor" the warranty? Then why do you have a "right" to an honored warranty when you used a pliers on a delicate piece of third party electronics?

Give us a break. And give Apple its due. It's YOUR fault. End of story.
