Jackle, great post. So refreshing to read a well-constructed piece, demonstrating cogent thought, about a subject other than daily price fluctuations. It probably took you a fair amount of time to construct it, and I thank you.

Jackel
Excellent anaysis. The best is yet to come. I feel very comfortable with Sigma for the long haul. Making a 3D printer is relativly easy as far as technical complexity. Most people have no idea of the technical complexity of what Sigma has undertaken, apparently succssfully, and having the patents to back it up.

Many people find this complexity boreing and go for the next shiney object. But Sigmas processes go to the very heart of metal AM manufacturing and if Sigma or someone else had not developed the solution to this problem, metal AM would come to a screeching halt.

So here we are, Sigma has a critical technology that only a handful of people truely understand, much less control. I try not to get too excited about this but I just cant help myself right now. I realize that at this stage there are a lot of things that can still go wrong but I truely believe that we are on the crest of the next technological wave. I am just happy to be in on the ground floor of all this and watch it develop.

Im not absolutely positive you covered everything to do with the past and future of Sigma in AM but you sure as hell didn't miss much. Great piece of writing. Thanks

I was just about to say that! You beat me to it. Well Said sir.

I also couldnt care less about pps action at current levels. I have sized my bet and placed it for the long run. As long as SGLB stays on track, it will require a tremendous rise in pps to wrestle a single share out of my posession :) the AM scene is craving a robust method of ensuring quality while minimizing post inspection/testing. Its likely that SGLB has just what it takes to satisfy this craving :)

Agree, more of Intel inside model here.... AM indeed is taking off, 2016 will see production ramping in aerospace and the implant areas.... China's FDA's recent approval of the titanium hip implant will be huge for a company like Arcam and 3D in general.
The next 5 years will see an explosion in metals and SGLB will be there to capitalize.....
