rooster -- that's certainly at least a more definitively-worded report; fair enough, thx -- remember that at the Giffords shooting, there was a citizen carrying, and by the time he was able to draw his weapon and orient to the situation he ended up damned near shooting one of the folks who had just succeeded in wrestling away the gunman's weapon -- concealed carry being available in a given setting is no guarantee of a better result; even 'just' a semi-automatic, in particular one with a large magazine (or two or three), can fire a large number of rounds in a very short period of time
