It's got near term downside. I'm pretty sure buying high, hedging downside then riding shorts down until he can load up to bring average down. He already determines long term price will perform past initial buy so why not shake the tree before hand to buy lower. Half of what we see in media is for show on what is really going on. All in my opinion of course.
