That's an oldie! They use depth cameras now.

Did you know that GOSY has the only sensor fusion solution that can use low cost depth cameras? They can combine any appropriate combination of sensors (sonar, lidar, etc) and come up with a solution for just about any navigation scenario (don't know if Mars is included,but probably).

Most navigation solutions still use machine vision and mapping for navigation. Pre-mapping is not needed for GOSY SafePath(tm).

Can you imagine using machine vision in a morning fog along I-5? There are no recognizable landmarks and even lane markings are fuzzy.

There is a reason why Google cars don't go there and Nissan doesn't talk about it.

Yes, GOSY does real robots! They are not toys because GOSY's team of engineers have designed their robots to be utilitarian. Lots of exciting news from this company lately and investor interest continues to grow.
