eye while ignoring the redwood tree log in your own.



So, ARM's crypto accelerator is unfair, "greatly goosing" the results, but you feel the need to defend intel against accusations of unfair compiler optimizations...

HMMMM...

If one chip has a hw accelerator that affects benchmarks, flat out, it should count. The results reflect the performance of the chip in that test.

If, on the other hand, a "compiler optimization" is merely "using a new ISA extension", and is only applying the "optimization" by CPU brand and not CPU capability, or, if a "compiler optimization" detects the benchmark being run and does something funky, that's... Well, you've heard it all before.
