Here is a nice artivle on trading gaps on the charts. IMO, there isn't any specific set level a stock needs to meet to "fill the gap" but rather just needs to retrace a bit on a sharp rise up in order to give it a little breathing room and a chance for some to take profits before it can continue to climb further.
