The Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) is an independent group of experts that advises NIDCR and FDA and the study investigators. FDA Decision is based on data from multipple sources.

It does not mean that we could not get immediate FDA approval. If they have enough patients and the data is good they may get the drug right away to those in need...
