No no no, the dvd rental business isn't dead, but IMO it will slowly fade away over the next 3-5 years. I rented a dvd from a Red Box on Mon and another Tues. Use them when I am overly anxious to see something and don't even want to wait for the mail. The subscription streaming services are never going to be able to send you a new release selection for only 10 bucks or so a month. I think it was like 2 months before Starz on Real had The Aviator. They apparently pay a licensing fee for a specified period of time and with the studios coming into the market themselves the availability of movies may dry up to others and ourselves.
