I think it sounds about right….. I mean the time frame they're talking about is only a few years. We are still at the beginning of this AM revolution. To compare it to the Industrial Revolution…. I think of the last few decades like the Newcomen Engine….. we're just about at James Watt's 'steam engine' status- which was used in production everywhere but even as useful as it was, it took years to be fully integrated into manufacturing. Change was incremental, as individual companies adopted it bit by bit. 5 years is one thing- and I think that's a solid, conservative # in the near term….. but think about the growth projections in 10, 15, 20 years as AM becomes more and more widespread in production….. We're talking exponential increases for a really long time. Can you imagine investing in some steam engine technology (or even component) in say, the 1770s/80s?
