They do not own the inventory, they are more of a consignment shop. Their game is finding pricing inequalities due to supply/demand inefficiencies across the globe.

For instance, say you live in south beach and have a average/below average boat for sale amongst the 1000's of other boats of perhaps better quality already for sale in the area. This will cause you to not fetch as much as maybe you had hoped.

So in comes sooum and they tell you we can sell you boat for say 60% more than you would be able to get in south beach. They have a buyer in Portugal that is willing to pay more because that below average boat on the Miami market becomes an above average boat in Portugal as their are not nearly the same number of boats on the market.

Sooum sets up the sale, handles the logistics and takes a percentage of the transactions for their part in the sale.
