And now Interstellar is G-O-N-E from UF. Replaced by a kids cartoon, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and cartoons have little-to-no difference between SD, HD, and UHD and are easily compressed because they are simple computer-generated graphics with sharp edges, uniform coloration areas, and no fast motion.
But UF tried Interstellar and gott all of 165 rentals ($1648 total).
And now, it's G-O-N-E.
Who's this? WireTransfer. What happened? Did we get straightened out?
Ahh, we had a problem. We tried to do everything we could. You know what I mean. It's gone, and we couldn't do nothing about it.
Here is the REAL DD! Sorry, but the fact remains that Ultraflix offers the most A-List 4K content to stream on the market. Period.
As to the scanner performance: Lasergraphics scans in 4K with TIFF and DPX file output. That is spelled out on this page: www.lasergraphics.com/director-output-samples.html. You will clearly see the 4K output samples. If you'd like, you can download the sample which opens as a 4096x3112 file. Not only is that 4K, it actually exceeds it by quite a bit. Consumer 4K/UHD is 3840x2160.
