I've seen that happen the past years more often.I always thought it was some kind of manipulation. It might be shorting speculating on the dip peix often has shortly after opening, but I never could really find a reason. But PEIX does have a habit of keeping a certain trading pattern aa view day after another. It also makes large swings a lot of day's. If you would have trade PEIX every day selling at it's high and buying back 50 cent lower and selling 50 cents higher, you could have repeated that a lot of times, making a lot of money i guess.

Got no idea about the Aventine shares, I thought they could not be traded yet, but maybe I'm wrong.
