Anandtech ran specint 2000 on the previous generation A8.

I'm sure they'll run that on the new phones and tablets. It's better than Geekbench obviously.

Spec2006 is pretty unwieldy to run on a phone as it requires hours to run. I doubt most desktop applications need that kind of sustained performance - it's more of a server benchmark. I'd be more interested in burst performance which fits most desktop user patterns.

This is a pretty direct attack on wintel for enterprise workers. They're partnering with IBM for iOS in the enterprise. Microsoft has even seen the writing on the wall by porting Office to iOS and even showing a demo at the Apple event.

The 'real work' criticisms are getting harder to make with each passing year. Did you see autocad and photoshop also running?

Apple should submit SPEC CPU 2006 and SPEC CPU rate 2006 scores
for their A9X or just STFU.

Surface pro4 with windows 10 will be released at about the same time as ipad pro will be available, I look forward to some side by side comaparisons. Two huge strikes against ipad pro, no usb port , no support for connecting to an external monitor.
