It's like the first time I was planning to go to Vegas. My Dad said, "Only take what you can afford to lose." Best advice I could have ever received.
The truth is; I could not afford to lose anything at that age (I was a college student), but I went anyway, lost money, and came home happy. I was happy because I knew the risk going in, and I AM an ADULT. Being an adult should allow you the mental capacity to bring the acceptance of one's actions; especially by their own doing. When things did not go in a positive manner monetarily I was okay with the outcome.
Turns out, I suck at cards, and like you, picking stocks. ;)
