If people believe image quality is paramount, then they'll buy the disk rather than put up with a compressed, compromised stream.

If they believe that convenience is paramount, they'll watch a regular HD stream and not be too concerned about the picture quality.

Why would someone stream a heavily compressed video image? It won't look as good as it could, and they'd be paying a fortune for it.

No one wants to buy disc's any longer.... yesterdays news.. vine youtube etc.. the world streams... who puts cds in their car any longer? no need , you listen to playlist or sat radio....

4k player worthless



Disks probably will go away at some point, but 4K streaming won't take off until there's so much optical bandwidth that the required 20+mbps isn't a big deal. Right now, with the internet infrastructure the way it is today, it's a very big deal.
